The first-hour interrupt
Eight steps, run under time pressure on any new subject. Each step shows what it produced on the real Alfa y Gama morning. Use the arrow keys or the buttons.
Default to interrupt map
| Default (fires on its own) | What it looks like | Interrupt (you choose to run it) |
|---|---|---|
| Story from first hits | Narrative locks after 2-3 tabs | Write the question before the search (step 1) |
| Ease = truth | Current license and polished page feel clean | Ask what would falsify (steps 4, 6) |
| WYSIATI confidence | High certainty on thin open source | Absence list before confidence language (steps 4, 7) |
| Substitution | "Looks professional" answers "integrity risk" | Restate the decision question (step 5) |
| Halo | First impression colors every later fact | Score items independently (steps 3, 8) |
| Lazy controller | Rush brief copies the first story | 60-second exit check (step 8) |
Bottom line
Freeze the question before the browser opens, and let the absence list cap your confidence. Those two habits alone would have separated "no findings" from "CJNG-linked, decline" on this case.
